Dyspraxia/dyslexia

Children with Dyspraxia not only have to face challenges to learning, but they also often have difficulties with movement, perception and attention that can muddle their co-ordination and development. Learning is inextricably intertwined with movement. This is particularly evident as we watch babies and young children progress through their early developmental stages.

The use of Feldenkrais method switches on the learning process by awakening the brain’s fundamental ability to learn, modify and refine function. Feldenkrais® is a gentle movement based approach in which the exploration starts – not from what you can’t do – but from what you can do. The focus is on the individual rather than the problem.
