Upper Limb Stroke Recovery – Feldenkrais and Mirror Therapy
This is a great video from Emily, who is one of my Feldenkrais training classmates, working with a client to help with the recovery of upper limb function. This gives you an idea of how a one-on-one Feldenkrais session can work.
It also shows the use of Moshe’s mirror therapy. This consists of creating the illusion of perfect bilateral synchronization. If you put your left hand behind a mirror and your right in front, you can trick the brain into believing that the reflection of your right hand in the mirror is your left.
